Asian Pacific American Heritage Month
"Salute to Liberty"

In cooperation with the BNL Diversity Office, the BNL Social and Cultural Club, the BNL Indo-American Association, the BNL ESOL Program, the BNL Employee Assistance Program,
the Charles B. Wang Center celebrating Asian and American cultures , the Asian American Center Bridge, the Asian American Faculty Staff Association, the Frank Melville, Jr. Memorial Library, The Center for Japanese Studies, and the Dialogues Across Differences Diversity Grant
of the
State University of New York at Stony Brook who celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in April due to the academic year schedule,
Chinese-American Association of Suffolk County
Filipino Americans In Long Island Inc,
Port Jefferson/Stony Brook Japanese School, Ryu Shu Kan
 
and the
National Weather Service, NOAA, Upton, NY office.

The Charles B. Wang Center, celebrating Asian and American cultures, is dedicated to presenting the public with a multifaceted, intellectually sound, and humane understanding of Asian and Asian American cultures, and their relationship to other cultures. The Wang Center is also a conference facility and a presenting venue for events of cultural, professional and intellectual calibre. Read more about our mission, facilities, people, and programming.

The Wang Center is open to the public Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Asian food available from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Guided tours are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 12:45 p.m.


APAA Board meets every 1st Tuesday of the month at Berkner Hall, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm.

The "BERA Asian Pacific American Association" has created the Dr. Mow Shiah Lin Scholarship in honor of Dr. Lin's achievements and remarkable research and inventions.
